Apex Legends is throwing hands with Street Fighter 6 — but the Arena brawl is not live yet.
Electronic Arts’ official event page (posted September 15, 2026) dates the Apex Legends VS Street Fighter 6 takeover for September 22 through October 13, 2026, with go-live called out again as September 22. Same-day GamesBeat coverage (Dean Takahashi) was announcement-day color and Respawn quotes, not a confirmation that the mode/map/cosmetics had already shipped. Earlier RCG copy that framed the event as “launched/live Sep 15” was wrong on timing and is corrected here against the EA primary.

EA’s rundown: drop into Wildcard, grab Fighter Gear, and channel one of four Street Fighter kits — Ryu, Chun-Li, Akuma, Dhalsim — each with Passive / Tactical / Ultimate tools (Hadokens, Kikoken, Gou Hadoken, Yoga Teleport / Yoga Sunburst, and more). Fill a Fight Gauge, activate Fighter Form (third-person camera, stronger melee, block, damage resistance, bonus speed), then survive into Showdown, the final round with infinite Fight Gauge and instant rejoin for downed/respawning players.
