Terranigma finally has a ship date — and a collector stack to match.
Clear River Games confirmed in a September 16, 2026 Games Press release that Quintet’s classic 16-bit action RPG returns on January 14, 2027 for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (digital on Steam and GOG; consoles digital + physical). Final Weapon’s same-day report matches the date, platforms, and edition pricing.
Editions and prices (as announced)
Physical pre-orders opened the same day at the Clear River Games Shop and Limited Run Games:
- Standard Edition — $39.99 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S; $44.99 for the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition (cartridge carries the full Switch game plus the upgrade pack, per Final Weapon).
- Foiled Standard — limited-quantity foiled cover at the same prices, Clear River / Limited Run online stores only.
- SteelBook Edition — $64.99 (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2).
- Gaia Edition — $199.99 (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2), bundling the SteelBook Edition contents plus a Yomi figurine, “Pandora’s Box” music box (plays “Elle’s Theme”), a 200-page art book, an enamel pixel pin, an OST CD in a jewel case, and a cloth world map (40 × 54 cm / 16 × 21 in).
Arranged Mode, QoL, and TGS playtest
The revival adds a new Arranged Mode (increased magic damage, mini-map, save-anywhere) plus CRT filter, multiple aspect ratios, quick magic, item hot-swap, customizable high-res backgrounds, music player, museum, rewind, and remappable controls — per the official press list.
A public playable demo is at the Happinet booth (hall 6, booth N-04, PLAION area) at Tokyo Game Show 2026, September 17–21, playable in English and Japanese. Retail language support also includes French, German, and Spanish (official).
