Dragami Games, Nada Holdings, and developer JP Universe have announced Lollipop Chainsaw 2 Back2Back for PlayStation 5, due in 2027. The sequel is playable at Tokyo Game Show 2026 (September 17–21 at Makuhari Messe), and Gematsu posted an ~8-minute gameplay update the night of the reveal. Anime News Network aligns on platforms, year window, and staff.
Juliet returns to “Jaredwood”
Per Dragami’s overview (via Gematsu): high-school zombie hunter Juliet returns in a new outfit to a rebuilt San Romero now transformed into “Jaredwood,” a sprawling metropolis built around the film industry. A mysterious director traps her inside a twisted zombie movie; she fights alongside allies, uncovers the conspiracy, and stops a new threat from Corrupted Realm zombies.
Staff hooks
The announced team includes:
- Hajime Tabata (Final Fantasy XV) — ANN reports him as directing; Gematsu lists him on staff via JP Universe
- Masahiro Yuki — co-producer / scenario writer on the original Lollipop Chainsaw, writing again
- NekoshowguN — original main character concept artist, returning
No additional platforms beyond PS5 and no month/day inside 2027 were announced in the checked primaries — treat the street date as year-only 2027 for PlayStation 5.
