Titan Comics is adapting Gregory Widen’s unused original Highlander screenplay as a four-issue series. Highlander: The Original Screenplay #1 arrives December 2, 2026, written by Widen himself with art by Szymon Kudranski, per Comic Book Club (Sep 17) and ICv2‘s solicit preview (Sep 16).
What it adapts
CBC frames the 1986 film as diverging sharply from Widen’s original script; the comic “reimagines what could have been” while still following immortal Connor MacLeod across centuries facing rivals for the mysterious Prize. ICv2’s publisher description: “based on Gregory Widen’s original script and reveals the original vision behind the timeless classic.”
