Lofty Sky Games has dated narrative mystery Hope in the City for November 10, 2026 on Xbox Series and PC (Steam + Microsoft Store), with Game Pass availability, according to Gematsu. The Xbox Series version is newly confirmed; Xbox Wire’s Tokyo Game Show 2026 recap also highlighted the title with a showcase trailer and Play Anywhere support.

Artist-eye investigation

You play Hope Song, a 17-year-old who comes home from school to a ransacked apartment and missing parents — no note, no warning. Hope isn’t a detective; she’s an artist. Sketchbook observation turns details into evidence: capture what you see, connect insights, and push breakthroughs as the family mystery grows stranger and darker. The setting is Shenyang, Northeast China, rendered as a stylized city full of neon streets, quiet corners, and buried secrets.

Creative director Judith Cheung called the project “a different kind of mystery, where observation, curiosity, and creativity are your greatest tools,” set against a part of Northeast China rarely explored in games.

Studio pedigree

Lofty Sky is the team behind Sky of Tides (2026 GDC Best in Play winner) and Annie Award–nominated Eternal Spring.
