Batman Day 2026 lands Saturday, September 19, 2026, and DC’s centerpiece one-shot Batman of Two Worlds #1 is on sale today at participating comic shops worldwide for $2.99 US.
Per DC.com’s Batman Day package (posted Sep 2), the issue pairs two all-new shorts under one cover by Jorge Jiménez, Nick Dragotta, and Frank Martin:
- “Short Cuts” — writer Matt Fraction, artist Javi Fernández, colors Tomeu Morey, letters Clayton Cowles (mainline Batman)
- “Cut Short” — writer Scott Snyder, artist Nick Derington, colors Frank Martin, letters Tom Napolitano (Absolute Batman)
Both creators frame the book as one problem, two solutions — theft/robbery stories that showcase each Batman’s methods. The Caped Crusaders do not meet in this one-shot (DC and AIPT both stress dual separate narratives; any Absolute×mainline crossing lives elsewhere, e.g. DC K.O., not here).
