Marvel has locked a holiday visual event for The Punisher: Punisher #12, written by series regular Benjamin Percy with art (and new costume design) by Declan Shalvey, is on sale December 23, 2026.
WHITE-OUT — silent blizzard issue
Per CBR’s exclusive (Sep 18) and ScreenRant amplify (Sep 19), the solicit reads: an unprecedented blizzard hits NYC, but pure white snow won’t stay clean for long. Shalvey joins for a special holiday tale — a silent night and silent issue full of violence and vengeance… and a new costume. Covers are by David Marquez (Cover A) and Declan Shalvey (Cover B).
All-white tactical look
Marvel confirmed via CBR that Shalvey designed an all-white winter tactical suit with a black skull logo — snow camouflage for Frank Castle hunting a crew using the buried city for a heist. Cover art (Marquez / Shalvey) shows Frank in the drifts and on a snowmobile; Percy’s quote flags a winter arsenal that includes a flamethrower. Shalvey called designing a mission-specific costume a rare chance to make the silent story visually distinct.
