Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV has a new CGI Space Marines faction trailer, and Warhammer Community puts the hard dates up front: the RTS launches on PC on December 3, 2026, with Commander Edition players unlocking three days early on November 30, 2026. In the cut, the Dark Angels arrive to reinforce Captain Cyrus and the Blood Ravens as Chronomancer Thothmek’s Necrons sweep across Kronus, according to a September 30, 2026 Warhammer Community post.
Community frames the return to Kronus — first seen in Dawn of War: Dark Crusade — as a desperate fight for a vital Blood Ravens recruitment world cut off from reinforcement after the opening of the Great Rift. Cyrus’s company is under pressure from xenos forces until the Dark Angels join the battle. The trailer showcases iconic Dark Angels units, including a bike-mounted Chaplain and the Deathwing’s Terminators.
A matching Deep Silver / KING Art Games press release (also September 30) names Jonah Orion alongside Cyrus among the Blood Ravens stranded on the wrong side of the Rift, and confirms the same street dates: December 3 launch, Commander Edition early unlock from November 30. Developer KING Art Games and publisher Deep Silver (PLAION) list the title as a PC RTS.
Launch roster and pre-order
At launch, Dawn of War IV features four playable factions: Space Marines, Necrons, Orks, and Adeptus Mechanicus. Both Community and the publisher release say pre-orders are open now. Games Press states both editions carry a 10% pre-order discount; Warhammer Community’s trailer post does not repeat that percentage, so the discount figure is attributed to the publisher release.
The Space Marines cut is the day’s cinematic beat — Blood Ravens and Dark Angels standing together against Thothmek’s Necrons on Kronus — while the December 3 / November 30 Commander window is the calendar beat PC RTS players need. Official site pointed from the release is dawnofwar4.com.
What we are not saying: we are not itemizing a post-launch Year One content slate, naming console ports, or inventing which Primarch leads the Dark Angels relief force. Trailer, launch roster, and the Dec. 3 / Nov. 30 Commander dates are the confirmed news.
