PC | MacStudio Sasanqua to Publish [AFANTASIA] on Steam; Date TBA

Studio Sasanqua — the new company founded by Visions of Mana director Kenji Ozawa after NetEase Games’ Ouka Studio closed — will publish Brazilian solo developer noidnoidnoid‘s surreal narrative adventure [AFANTASIA], according to a Gematsu report of the studio’s announcement (October 1, 2026). The game is planned for PC via Steam with English, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, and Simplified Chinese language support. No release date was announced.

[AFANTASIA] is framed as a surreal, narrative-driven point-and-click adventure. A boy wakes with no memories and finds his hometown of Tempo blurred between reality and imagination; a voice called Intrusion guides him as he recovers fragments of a past he traded away before his identity fades. The pitch centers on gameplay that blurs that same boundary and asks what makes someone who they are.

In the studio statement Gematsu published, Sasanqua says it wants games that pair a comfortable player experience with themes that push players to reflect on their own emotions. The team says several members bring AAA production experience to smaller partner projects, and that founder and president Ozawa will be directly involved in production on each published title alongside those partners. Promotion and marketing are called out as part of the development process, not an afterthought.

Sasanqua also says it hopes to announce a second publishing title later this year. As a near-term public step, the studio will exhibit [AFANTASIA] at Brazil Game Show 2026 in São Paulo from October 9 to October 12, 2026 — its first time showing as a publisher — and invites attendees to try the debut title at the booth.

For US Steam wishlist watchers, this is a named ex-AAA director moving into indie publishing with a dated show appearance and an open ship window, not a lock on console SKUs or a street date. The NetEase Ouka closure is background for how Sasanqua formed; it is not a claim about NetEase’s current slate.
