Askiisoft says the long-awaited downloadable content for Katana Zero is still in the works, and it has grown far beyond its original scope. In a post shared with a new teaser, the developer said the add-on is now “the size of a full sequel, plus a soundtrack of over 30+ new songs.”
“We made it bigger,” Askiisoft wrote, adding that more updates are coming and thanking fans for their continued support.
The DLC was originally announced as a free update. According to Gematsu, it is unclear whether that is still the plan now that it has grown to sequel size. Askiisoft has not given a release window or price.
Katana Zero is available on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC through Steam, GOG and the Humble Store. Gematsu notes that a PlayStation 4 version was rated by the Entertainment Software Rating Board in March 2021.
