Chucky’s time in the Fog is almost over. Behaviour has confirmed that the killer doll and all Chucky Chapter content will be removed from Dead by Daylight’s in-game store and platform stores on Nov. 24 at 11 a.m. ET, according to an official FAQ on the game’s support site. The game’s official social channels confirmed the news publicly on Oct. 23.
If you already own The Good Guy, nothing changes. Behaviour says anything unlocked before the deadline stays playable, and owners can keep leveling him, buying his add-ons with Bloodpoints and unlocking his three Prestige cosmetics and perk charms. Behaviour will keep fixing bugs for the character, and his achievements become generic ones that stay unlocked if you earned them. Because nothing is being taken from owners, Behaviour says no refunds will be issued.
Players who never bought the chapter will still get access to its perks, under new names, in the general perk pool. Hex: Two Can Play becomes Hex: Eye For An Eye, Friends Til the End becomes One Track Mind, and Batteries Included becomes Gaining Steam. Chucky’s outfits, on the other hand, will be gone for good after Nov. 24, and Behaviour says no new ones are coming.
To send him off, the chapter and its cosmetics will be 50% off for a limited time. The sale runs Oct. 26 to Nov. 24 on the Epic Games Store and the Xbox/Windows store, Nov. 2 to Nov. 24 on PlayStation, and Nov. 10 to Nov. 24 on Steam. On Switch it starts Oct. 26 in North America, Oct. 27 in Europe and Oct. 28 in Japan.
Behaviour has not said why Chucky is leaving, and licensed characters have left Dead by Daylight’s store before; Stranger Things content was pulled in 2022 before returning the following year. Licensed crossovers have become a big draw for multiplayer games, as seen with Marvel Rivals’ 50-player Thanos event, but they can also be temporary.
If you have been on the fence about adding Chucky to your roster, the next month is your last chance.
