Hello Games has released Forsaken, the latest free update for No Man’s Sky, on the same day the game launched on Apple’s iPhone and iPad. Version 7.10 adds a new faction of traders, unsettling new ship parts and a long list of quality-of-life changes, according to Xbox Wire.

The update centers on the Forsaken, mysterious traders players can find across the galaxy. They deal in mementos and unusual technology, including biomechanical modules for corvettes, a larva tank helmet and a larva cannon multi-tool.

Hello Games is leaning into Halloween with this one, calling it a trip to the darker side of the universe. Vessels of preserved organic matter have started appearing in deep space, hidden inside derelict hulks and infested space outposts. Players who salvage these mementos can trade them with the Forsaken for sinister new corvette habs, cockpits and structural pieces, either to give an existing ship a creepy makeover or to build a whole new organic-looking vessel. The wriggling larva cannon costs a quantity of preserved grubs.

Corvettes, the player-built ships added earlier this year, also get new jobs. Players can take on haulage and courier missions, and it is now possible to warp seamlessly to stars visible in the sky. Hello Games has also added a minimal HUD option, a radial menu for weapon selection and dozens of accessibility additions.

Forsaken is the fifth major update for No Man’s Sky in 2026, following Remnant, Xeno Arena, The Swarm and Cosmos, as Eurogamer notes. Hello Games keeps adding to the decade-old game without charging for expansions.

Hello Games released a trailer for the update:

The mobile version, which Hello Games announced earlier this month, is now out. It needs an iPhone 11 or newer, or a third-generation iPad Air or later, and the first part of the game can be played for free before buying the full version. The initial download is about 4GB.

No Man’s Sky is also available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac and VR headsets, and Forsaken is out now on all of them alongside the new iPhone and iPad version. Mobile players get custom touch controls and every one of the game’s more than 40 previous updates. Hello Games says it is already planning for 2027.
