Natsume Ono is going back to the Dowa Kingdom. The creator of ACCA-13 Territory Inspection Department will launch Korore, a new spinoff of ACCA-13 and her follow-up series Badon, in Square Enix’s Monthly Big Gangan magazine on Feb. 25, 2027, as Anime News Network reports.

The magazine announced the series on its official X account as part of its 15th anniversary celebrations, which include five new serializations and a run of one-shots from guest creators. The new manga will debut in the magazine’s third issue of 2027.

Like Badon, the new series takes its name from one of the 13 territories of the Dowa Kingdom, the shared setting Ono built in ACCA-13. That makes Korore the third series set in the kingdom.

ACCA-13 ran in Monthly Big Gangan from June 2013 to October 2016 and was collected in six volumes. The series follows Jean Otus, a deputy inspector of the kingdom’s inspection agency who gets caught up in rumors of a coup. Yen Press published the manga in English, and it was adapted into a 2017 television anime, streamed by Crunchyroll, followed by an OVA sequel, ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept. Regards, in 2020.

Ono started Badon in the same magazine in January 2019 and finished it in March 2024 after nine volumes.

Ono made her debut in 2003 and is known for a loose, stylish art style and stories about adults, often built around food, drink and conversation. Her other works include House of Five Leaves, Ristorante Paradiso, Gente, Tesoro and Not Simple, all published in English by Viz Media, and Danza, published by Kodansha USA. House of Five Leaves and Ristorante Paradiso were also adapted into anime.

She also designed the characters for ghost: end of night, an upcoming anime film from director Shingo Natsume and Madhouse that opens in Japan on Feb. 11. No English release has been announced for Korore yet, though Yen Press, which handled ACCA-13, has been busy adding titles, including Fate/strange Fake and Kino’s Journey at New York Comic Con.
