Hyperspace Neptunia: Unlimited is coming west in 2027. Idea Factory International will release the Compile Heart-developed RPG on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, as Gematsu reports. No exact western date has been announced yet.

Physical editions are planned for PS5, PS4, and Switch 2, with the Switch 2 version shipping as the full game on the cartridge rather than a download key.

The game is not new in Japan. It launched there on August 27 for PS5, Switch 2, PS4, and Switch, and it is the first mainline Neptunia entry since Megadimension Neptunia VII in 2015, a gap of more than a decade for the series’ core line.

The setup leans into a time loop. After an asteroid strike ends the world, Goddess Neptune is left alone in a white void, guided by a mysterious voice and marked with numbers on her cheek. She triggers a “retry” and starts cycling through endings and beginnings, picking up new allies and enemies as she works toward the true Doomsday.

What is new in Unlimited

  • Flight in dungeons: Goddesses can switch seamlessly from running to flying, exploring larger dungeons, waterways, and rooftops for enemies and hidden items.
  • Aerial combat: Goddess Forms can attack from above, alongside new EXE Drive animations, a reworked combo system, and massive world bosses.
  • Deeper customization: players can recolor Goddesses, place accessories with custom size, position, and color, upgrade Processor Unit gear found in dungeons, and craft abilities with the returning Disc Make system.
  • Fresh art: series illustrator Tsunako returns with new illustrations and newly designed Goddesses.

Idea Factory released a western announcement trailer alongside the news, plus screenshots and box art. For western fans who skipped the Japanese release, the 2027 window is the first firm sign that the series’ long-awaited mainline return is making the trip.
