My Hero Ultra Rumble is getting a phone-sized spin that will not share servers with your TV. Bandai Namco will release the free-to-play battle royale for iOS and Android, the latest Weekly Jump issue reveals via Gematsu, with no release date attached.
The mobile game will run independently from the existing PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC versions. Match player counts stay the same, but battles are shorter, and there is no cross-play with living-room builds. Tipster color relayed by Gematsu describes the mobile client as looking like a different game.
That separation matters for anyone hoping to carry cosmetics or rank across platforms. On the Jump leak’s terms, phone Ultra Rumble is a sibling product aimed at shorter sessions, not a thin client into the same lobby.
Bandai Namco has not posted an English press release confirming the Jump report as of this writing, so the attribution stays with the magazine tip. The missing date is intentional in the coverage — Jump did not print one, and neither should retailers.
Shōnen battle brands keep stretching into every format, the same week Sony and Lionsgate lined up a live-action Naruto movie for Spring 2027 production. Ultra Rumble’s mobile move is smaller and nearer to players’ pockets, if Bandai Namco ever stamps a day.
Until an official store listing appears, the accurate beat is narrow: Weekly Jump says a separate F2P iOS/Android Ultra Rumble is coming, matches will be shorter without cross-play, and the calendar square is still blank.
Mobile battle royales live on session length. Shorter matches with the same player count is Bandai Namco admitting phone sessions cannot mirror console rounds beat for beat. The no-cross-play line seals it: two ecosystems, two economies, two ranked ladders if the Jump tip holds.
Hero fans who only play on phones finally get a native target — whenever Bandai Namco stops letting the magazine speak for the schedule and puts a store badge on the announcement.
