Geiger and Redcoat’s Radioactive Revolution Begins February 10

ComicsGeiger and Redcoat's Radioactive Revolution Begins February 10

Radioactive Revolution #1 launches February 10, 2027, bringing Geiger and Redcoat together for Ghost Machine’s first crossover in The Unnamed universe.

The 40-page one-shot opens a story that continues through Geiger #26-28 and Redcoat #23-24, according to Image Comics’ announcement. Geoff Johns writes, with art by Gary Frank and Bryan Hitch, colors by Brad Anderson, and letters by Rob Leigh.

Where does Radioactive Revolution begin?

The starting point is the February one-shot, followed by the two ongoing series. RCG previously covered Ghost Machine’s fall schedule and Geiger #25’s Radioactive Revolution prelude; the newly announced #1 is the crossover’s launch issue.

The story picks up a mission seeded in 2022’s Geiger 80-Page Giant: immortal mercenary Simon Pure, better known as Redcoat, was hired to hunt down Tariq Geiger, the Glowing Man. That collision gets another complication in Organgrinder, a new villain who wants both men, or at least parts of them.

Johns says the crossover will reveal more about the Unknown War that created Geiger’s future timeline and how it might connect to Simon Pure. Hitch also teases a more dangerous Simon, shaped by roughly 150 years since the events of Redcoat #22.
