Marvel’s landmark Amazing Spider-Man #1000 still streets September 30, 2026, and ComicBook.com has an exclusive five-page first look at Noah Hawley and Patrick Gleason‘s anthology story “Still Standing” — Hawley’s Marvel Comics debut. Marvel previously framed the issue as Amazing Spider-Man #36 (legacy #1000), led by Joe Kelly and Pepe Larraz‘s Ravage arc after a printer delay from the original September 16 solicit window.
Still Standing — old-man Peter
Hawley and Gleason introduce an older Peter Parker living in the Forest Hills Nursing Home, still able to see the roofline of his old apartment, as he reflects and suits up for one more adventure. The preview introduces Peter’s son and grandson and a figure who at first appears to be an older Gwen Stacy — ComicBook notes subtle clues that Peter may be struggling with memory and that the visitor may not be who he thinks. Treat Gwen as preview framing, not a confirmed return.
