Hamster has dated Arcade Archives 2: Xevious 3D/G for September 24, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 at $16.99 / ¥1,800 (Gematsu; VGC).
First arcade-accurate home release
Namco’s 1996 System 11 polygonal shoot-’em-up — the first Xevious entry to leave sprites for polygons — previously reached homes via a 1997 PlayStation port that was a different build. Per VGC, this Arcade Archives 2 release is the first time the actual arcade ROM has been made available on home systems. The title appears under Arcade Archives 2 only (no Switch 1 / PS4 SKU called out).
Modes & features
Hamster’s overview lists Original Mode, Hi Score Mode, and Caravan Mode, plus Arcade Archives 2’s Time Attack Mode, with VRR support for a closer arcade refresh feel, alongside the usual Archives toolkit (difficulty/screen settings, rewind, rapid-fire, save slots, online rankings).
VGC frames it as the 11th polygonal Namco Arcade Archives title after the System 22 set and Tekken (also System 11).
