The soft-body driving sim BeamNG.drive finally has a PlayStation date. Developer BeamNG says the PlayStation 5 version launches in Early Access on October 19, 2026, according to Gematsu.
The PC build has been in Early Access since May 29, 2015 on Steam, Epic Games Store, and Humble Store. The console debut arrives around the same window as PC update 0.40.
Day-one parity notes
BeamNG’s published overview for the PS5 Early Access drop highlights a brand-new vehicle available from day one, local split-screen, FSR 3 on base PlayStation 5, and PlayStation Super Spectral Resolution (PSSR) on PlayStation 5 Pro, plus the soft-body physics engine that simulates vehicle components in real time.
Other pillars carried over in the same materials: dozens of customizable vehicles; 12 open-world environments; Free Roam, Career, and Scenarios modes.
Mods — not at PS5 launch
BeamNG is clear that mod support will not be available on PlayStation at launch. Console mod timing and scope remain unconfirmed while the studio explores the challenge; mod authoring tools such as the World Editor are not currently planned for PlayStation. Pricing, Xbox or Switch ports, and a full 1.0 claim are not part of the October 19 Early Access announce.
