DC Comics took back the comic store marketshare lead for the week of Oct. 20 to 26, 2026, with 39.98% of sales against Marvel’s 31.56%, according to Prana Direct Market Solutions point-of-sale data reported by Bleeding Cool.

The numbers come from Prana’s sample of more than 600 comic shops that use Manage Comics and Comic Shop Assistant. That is roughly 600 of an estimated 1,800 to 2,000 direct market stores, so it is a strong signal rather than a full count.

What put DC back on top?

Absolute Green Arrow #6 helped carry DC back into first place. Marvel had a strong Wednesday with Armageddon, Amazing Spider-Man, X-Men and Midnight Universe titles on the racks, but still finished near 32%.

The other story on the chart is Bad Idea. The publisher made its debut on the pie at 1.36%, powered by It Demands Sacrifice #1, edging out Titan and Mad Cave for the week.

DC has traded blows with Marvel all fall, including the week Absolute DNX helped DC lead in September.
