Alientrap’s co-op desert adventure DuneCrawl is leaving PC exclusivity. The developer announced that the game arrives on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Android on Monday, October 19, 2026, with Switch 2 and Switch versions later in 2026, as reported by Gematsu on October 5 alongside a new trailer.
DuneCrawl first launched on PC through Steam on January 5. In it, you and up to three friends explore “the sandy seas” on top of a giant Crab Crawler, a walking vehicle that works as your ship, base, and main weapon. Alientrap’s overview describes islands full of quests, dungeons, and loot, with the Polloi pilgrims fighting off an invasion led by the Ceramicist and his jar-headed Vassals.
The game supports both local and online co-op for up to four players. Solo players get help from a ghostly companion. Combat happens on two levels. On foot, players use hand weapons and turn local wildlife into tools, from Bomb Flowers and Beehives to Spider Eggs. Aboard the crawler, crews load cannonballs, repair damaged legs, steer into fights with rival crawlers and island fortresses, and can even launch themselves through the air to board enemies.
Progression comes from Masks, Tunics, and Talismans that grant new abilities, plus weapons such as the Buzzooka and Acid Harpoon. The Crab Crawler can be upgraded too, with spike-armored legs, guided torpedoes, or a new paint job and hat. Players can also ride bugs, including multi-saddle Beetles, fast Nymphs, armored Scorpions, and Ball Bugs.
The October 19 date adds DuneCrawl to a busy month of PC games coming to consoles. Earlier this month RCG covered Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor reaching PS5 and Switch on October 7. Like that port, DuneCrawl is moving from a Steam release to consoles with its co-op play intact, including local co-op on the couch.
Release details: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Android on October 19. Switch 2 and Switch later in 2026, with no day announced yet. The PC version is available now on Steam. Alientrap has not published a price or confirmed cross-play or cross-save for the new platforms.
