Edge of Memories is getting more runway. Publisher Nacon and developer Midgar Studio have moved the action RPG from November 5 to December 3 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, Gematsu and RPGamer report.
“This quieter period will allow players to discover the game at their own pace and fully appreciate it,” Nacon said in its statement. That quieter calendar is no accident: November already hosts heavyweights such as the Switch 2 remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on November 5 and Grand Theft Auto VI later in the month.
What to expect
Edge of Memories is a third-person action RPG set across the continent of Avaris, from the plains of Argat to the forest of Kaishan and the Sanctorium in the Kezal Mountains. Midgar is blending JRPG structure with a French animation-inspired look. Character designer Raita Kazama (Xenoblade Chronicles X) and writer Sawako Natori (NieR) contributed, with soundtrack work involving Cedric Menendez, Emi Evans, Marion Schneider, Mariam Abounnasr and Yasunori Mitsuda.
Demo first
An updated PC demo is due in early November, incorporating community feedback aimed at more dynamic combat plus gameplay and accessibility improvements for the opening hours. That gives anyone on the fence a chance to try the revised build about a month before the new street date.
Nacon has not changed the platforms or the pitch. Edge of Memories remains a single-player action RPG aimed at both longtime genre fans and newcomers, with an evolving soundtrack and a continent-spanning tour of Avaris. The early-November demo is the practical next checkpoint for anyone deciding whether to wait out the delay.
For Midgar, which previously shipped Edge of Eternity, the slip is a familiar big-publisher move: step out of a stacked holiday week rather than fight for attention against the year’s biggest launches. December 3 is now the date to circle.
