Bandai Namco Entertainment America and Epic Games have flipped on the next wave of PAC-MAN content inside Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override. Per Bandai Namco’s announcement as carried by GoNintendo (September 17, 2026), players can now fight Mecha Ghost Mini Bosses, unlock a Blinky Sprite companion, and starting this weekend pick up a limited PAC-MAN Sidekick plus arcade cosmetics in the Item Shop.
Live now through October 31
Mecha Ghosts are mini-bosses based on classic Pac-Man pixel designs that roam the island, with heightened spawn rates on the Pac-Man-themed islands. Defeating them drops high-tier mythic loot. Players can also unlock the PAC-MAN Sprite companion based on Blinky from the PAC-MAN: Snack Breaks YouTube series by following instructions at the in-game Cheat Panel. The Sprite grants a passive that cloaks the player and provides invincibility upon taking damage. Bandai Namco says Mecha Ghosts and Sprites remain in-game now through October 31, 2026.
These additions sit on top of Override map content already live — PAC-MAN Island, BLINKY Island, and PINKY Island, plus arcade-machine and cloud-shaped Easter eggs.
Item Shop window: Sep 19–25
From September 19 to September 25, the limited-time PAC-MAN Sidekick hits the Fortnite Item Shop with a full collection of arcade cosmetics. The Sidekick is described as an invincible animated buddy with a Sidekick Emote, authentic arcade music jingles, and sound effects. The shop wave also includes a PAC-MAN Back Bling that cycles from Cherry to Orange to Galaxian as players land eliminations, plus PAC-MAN Gloves Pickaxe, new Kicks footwear, and more. V-Buck prices were not listed in the Bandai Namco / GoNintendo copy checked for this package.
As-of: 2026-09-17 evening ~5:30 PM CT (America/Chicago). Mecha Ghost / Sprite live window (Sep 17–Oct 31) and Sidekick shop window (Sep 19–25) verified against Bandai Namco via GoNintendo. Pac-Man only — no Kingdom Hearts or Edgerunners rehash.
