Com2uS has locked the anime-licensed survival action RPG formerly known as GACHIAKUTA: The Game under a new title — GACHIAKUTA: BREAKOUT — for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam in 2027, per Gematsu (Sep 17). Xbox Wire‘s Tokyo Game Show 2026 recap independently confirms the BREAKOUT branding, melee-focused survival action RPG framing, extended gameplay trailer, and Xbox Series / Xbox PC 2027 window with Play Anywhere.
Rename + window
The former working title GACHIAKUTA: The Game is retired. Gematsu pins the release to a 2027 year window only — no month or day announced. Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series, Steam.
What the overview promises
Per Com2uS overview (via Gematsu): real-time action RPG recreating the Gachiakuta anime world in full 3D with high-quality cel-shaded graphics. Players follow Rudo — cast into the Pit after a false accusation — who awakens the power to draw out the soul of discarded objects as weapons, aided by cleaner Enjin. Systems called out: survival sorties through polluted No Man’s Land against trash beasts and outlaws; HQ crafting/expansion at Cleaners Headquarters; slice-of-life cleaner interactions; real-time co-op; hidden graffiti collectibles.
