Ignition Press is joining the October 7, 2026 midnight release wave with Dinner Date #1, a vampire romcom from writer Joanne Starer and artist Khary Randolph, according to an ICv2 exclusive.
Midnight street
The first issue hits comic shops at 12:01 a.m. on October 7 alongside the already-scheduled Marvel Midnight titles, Oni’s new Sabrina comic, and Image / Rob Liefeld’s Avengelyne #1. Ignition Press Director of Sales Daniel Crary framed the book as “hilarious and horrific in equal measure,” comparing the tone to modern dating-app chaos and calling the midnight drop “about as a perfect a ‘You Up?’ as we could send.”
Baltimore Comic-Con early edition
Ignition is also offering an early edition at Baltimore Comic-Con (September 25–27), with a show-exclusive cover by Alitha Martinez and Emilio Lopez limited to 500 copies.
