Naughty Dog Sets Intergalactic Full Reveal for 2027

PlayStation

Naughty Dog studio head Neil Druckmann has set expectations for the rest of the decade: the studio will stay quiet through the end of 2026, then fully reveal Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet in 2027. The update landed in a charity stream note marking The Last of Us anniversary and was reported by VGC and Gematsu.

Druckmann said the team is “heads down” on what is shaping up to be “Naughty Dog’s most ambitious game yet,” with “an electricity around the studio” as the pieces come together. The studio also shared new Intergalactic artwork alongside the note. Intergalactic follows bounty hunter Jordan A. Mun, stranded on the distant planet Sempiria — a sci-fi adventure previously announced for PlayStation 5.

What 2027 means: Naughty Dog is promising a full reveal and “a proper look” at Jordan’s adventure. That is not a street date. No calendar day inside 2027 has been named for the reveal window, and no launch year has been locked in these posts.

The Last of Us: Separately, Druckmann told fans the studio has “a couple of very exciting new projects in very early stages” that “will expand the canon of The Last of Us beyond Part I and Part II.” He framed a return as something the team would only do with “something meaningful to say.” Forms, titles, platforms, and timelines for those projects remain unnamed.

For US PlayStation fans, this is the clearest first-party roadmap signal from Naughty Dog in months: cook through 2026, show Intergalactic properly in 2027, and keep The Last of Us alive in games beyond HBO. What we are not saying: we are not inventing an Intergalactic launch date, a 2027 reveal day, or named The Last of Us project titles. Early-stage “projects” plural is the public language — treat anything more specific as unconfirmed until Naughty Dog says otherwise.
