Sifu Mobile Is Out Now on iOS and Android

Sifu fits in a pocket now. Sloclap’s kung fu roguelike Sifu is out on iOS and Android as of October 12, matching the street date the studio locked earlier this month on the official Sifu site and in Gematsu‘s report.

The mobile version includes the full story campaign. Sloclap rebuilt the controls for touch, reworked the camera for phones and tablets, and kept controller support for anyone who wants a more console-like grip on the go.

Sifu first made its name on consoles and PC as a precise, punishing brawler about revenge, mastery and getting older every time you fail. Bringing that fantasy to phones is a big swing for a game built around timing and spatial awareness, which is why the studio spent time on the camera and touch scheme instead of doing a straight port.

RCG previously covered the dating news when Sifu was scheduled for October 12 on iOS and Android. Today’s the day that build is supposed to be live in mobile stores.

If you have been waiting to practice the body slam on the subway, the age wheel is in your hand now.

Sloclap’s mobile trailer leans on the same rainy neon rooftops and brutal clarity that made the console game famous. The studio’s own October 1 post promised the same action and atmosphere in the palm of your hand, and today’s storefront launch is the follow-through. Touch-first brawlers often lose the weight of a dedicated stick and buttons; controller support is the escape hatch for players who want the old feel on a tablet. Launch day is also when storefront pages usually lock regional pricing, so check your local App Store or Google Play listing for the number that applies where you are.

Sifu’s whole fantasy is improvement through failure. Putting that loop on a phone is either brilliant or dangerous for anyone who has a commute and a stubborn streak.
