Konami staged a Silent Hill: Townfall Special Stage at Tokyo Game Show 2026 on Saturday, September 19 (14:30–16:00 JST), five days before the game’s September 24, 2026 launch on PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store per Konami’s TGS listing).
Per Konami’s TGS title page, the session paired Silent Hill series producer Motoi Okamoto with MC Kei Yamaguchi, then handed the stick to horror streamer Gatchman for live gameplay commentary. Development is credited to Screen Burn Interactive, with Konami and Annapurna as the publishing partners on the wider Townfall project (as previously announced for the title).
What 4Gamer saw on stage
4Gamer’s same-day stage report describes roughly 50 minutes of previously unseen Japanese-voice gameplay — distinct from August’s shorter English footage dump. The demo pass covered:
- CRTV pocket-TV puzzles and signal tuning (the series radio reworked as a gameplay tool)
- Frenetic combat (melee/ranged switching)
- Stealth (closets/storage hides; noise baiting)
- A red-piped Otherworld sequence
4Gamer also notes Japanese VA comments presented on stage from Hiroki Yasumoto, Yuko Kaida, and Akio Otsuka, and that the venue trailer featured Japanese audio. Okamoto reportedly sprinkled 1990s Scotland set-dressing trivia mid-play (real-period machinery used as gimmicks).
Soft booth note
Konami’s TGS page also lists an immersive theater experience (Simon’s wristband giveaway while supplies last) and a Deluxe Edition pre-order T-shirt counter for public-day visitors who show a confirmation screen — soft context only; this package is the stage + JP-VA first look + Sep 24 PS5/PC beat.
As-of: 2026-09-19 evening ~5:30 PM CT (America/Chicago). Stage window, speakers, ~50-min JP-VA gameplay, CRTV/combat/stealth/Otherworld beats, and Sep 24 PS5/PC (Steam+Epic) verified against Konami TGS page + 4Gamer stage report. No invented platforms beyond PS5 + PC.
