WARDOGS Sells 1.25M Copies in First 24 Hours

PC | Mac

Bulkhead’s tactical multiplayer shooter WARDOGS has a new lockable sales number: the studio’s official @WARDOGS account posted that the game sold 1.25 million copies after its September 10, 2026 Steam Early Access launch — a milestone multiple outlets repeated on September 11.

That sales follow sits on top of the launch chaos already on our desk: Steam charts put the concurrent peak around 340,000, with long login queues, server restarts, and overnight hotfixes while CEO Joe Brammer updated players in public. GosuGamers and others also quote Brammer calling a million-plus Early Access start “mental,” while stressing the build is still Early Access with more fixes and content ahead.

WARDOGS is an up-to-100-player combined-arms FPS with three-team control-zone matches, vehicles, and logistics systems. It launched PC-first via Steam; console editions are publicly aimed at 2028, and Bulkhead has talked about staying in Early Access for roughly one to two years depending on feedback. For a peer sales-milestone frame on our live site, see Dave the Diver Tops 10 Million Units Sold.

Outbound primary for the 1.25 million claim is the studio’s own September 11 thank-you post (“1.25 MILLION COPIES SOLD. Thank you. We’ll see you in-game.”), as carried by TalkEsports and matching secondary reports on GosuGamers, WeLike, and Push Square. Steam review mix moved around as queues cleared; treat any live percentage as a snapshot, not a final Metacritic-style lock.

Brammer also told players the studio spent months showing what WARDOGS is and is not — including a tongue-in-cheek list of reasons not to buy — rather than riding pure hype into Early Access. That framing matters when a mid-size Team17-published multiplayer launch suddenly posts seven-figure unit sales overnight.

What we are not saying: we are not converting 1.25 million copies into revenue, claiming console day-and-date, or treating the still-draft peak-CCU note as a live permalink. No claim that servers are permanently stable past the September 11 recovery posts.
