Yen Press brought a batch of new titles to MCM London Comic Con on Sunday. The publisher announced 10 new licenses covering manga, light novels and audiobooks, and every one of them is set to debut in April 2027, Anime News Network reports.
The biggest name on the audio side is Scarlet, the novel by acclaimed anime director Mamoru Hosoda, which is getting an English audiobook. Yen is also releasing an audiobook of Cause I’m Freedom! by Tarō Hitsuji with illustrations by Azumi Akitake.
Two light novels are joining the lineup. Cross-Dressing Villainess Cecilia Sylvie: Extra Round! by Hiroro Akizakura, illustrated by Dangmill, continues the popular villainess series. And Thus, the Wizard Noi Garené Became a Bride 100 Years Later comes from Eiko Mutsuhana.
The manga side has six new titles. Horror fans will want to watch for Secret: Homicide Edition, an omnibus of Yoshiki Tonogai’s suspense series from the creator of Doubt and Judge. Also coming are My Yandere Girlfriend Hiding in the Dungeon Kills Me Over and Over Again by Eiji Nomura and Nikita Kitagawa, About a Place in the Kinki Region by Tsukasa Usui and Sesuji, My Childhood Friend Meows Under the Skirt by Raku Nanahashi and Hotori Handa, Summer Boy Blues by Miyako Tōno, and Is the Hot-Voiced Streamer Into Me?! by APEKO.
That spread is typical of Yen Press, which pairs genre staples like isekai and villainess stories with horror, romance and comedy. The audiobook additions are a sign of how much the publisher has leaned into audio adaptations of light novels and prose, and having a Hosoda novel in that format should draw attention beyond manga readers.
It is the latest wave of 2027 announcements from the major manga publishers. VIZ Media recently laid out its own plans, with a summer 2027 slate that adds JoJolion and a Kojima title. Yen Press has not yet shared prices or formats for most of these books, and more details should arrive as April approaches.
