Marvel Comics dates Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #1 (of 4) for December 9, 2026, reuniting writer Christos Gage and artist Eric Gapstur for a continuity bridge between seasons of the Disney+ animated series (AIPT; day-of roundup via Comic Book Club; amplification via Murphy’s Multiverse).
Canon bridge after Season 1
The four-issue series picks up after Season 1 as Peter drifts from his friends, Norman Osborn seems out of the spider business, and Harry Osborn pushes the circle toward mysterious activity at Oscorp. Gage says the story is coordinated with showrunner Jeff Trammell so it sits firmly in the animated series’ continuity — the same creative pairing behind Marvel’s 2024 YFNS prequel comic.
Daredevil + classic villains debut
Gage teased Gapstur drawing Spider-Man alongside Daredevil and classic Spider-Man villains making their first appearances in this animated universe, with Marvel framing the mini as setting the stage for Season 2. Cover A is by Leonardo Romero; Cover B by Luciano Vecchio, with additional variants including David Baldeón and virgin covers. Comic Book Club places the Disney+ Season 2 window in early 2027 (January TBA).
