Transport Fever 3 Launches Today on PC, Mac, Linux, PS5 and Xbox Series, With Helicopters and a New Sub-Arctic Environment

PC | MacA cargo helicopter lifts crates over a snowy depot as a high-speed train and trucks cross an elevated bridge through a glowing sub-arctic valley town under a holographic map pin.

Transport Fever 3 is out now on PC, Mac, and Linux via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG, and on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Paradox Interactive and Swiss developer Urban Games said so in a September 29, 2026 Cision release. The sequel adds helicopters for the first time in the series and a new sub-arctic environment beside temperate, desert, and tropical biomes.

Players still build and manage transport empires spanning railways, roads, shipping lanes, and air routes. Paradox pitches more than 300 authentic vehicles across a century of tech — trains, buses, trams, trucks, ships, planes, and now helicopters — in worlds where settlements and industries evolve in response to what the player builds.

Editions and SRPs

Paradox lists three editions. Standard is $49.99 on PC and $59.99 on consoles. Deluxe is $64.99 on PC and $74.99 on consoles. The Collector’s Edition is $119.99 and ships with a digital Steam key. Euro SRPs match those dollar figures on the same lines in the release.

Steam chart claim

Paradox says Transport Fever 3 climbed to No. 1 on Steam’s global bestseller list ahead of launch. That is the publisher’s pre-launch claim. When RCG checked Steam’s global Top Sellers chart around 5:05 PM CT Tuesday, Transport Fever 3 sat at No. 2, behind Minecraft Dungeons II.

Urban Games founder and CEO Basil Weber framed the studio’s approach as meticulous simulation craft in the release, tying Transport Fever 3 to Train Fever and Transport Fever 2. For anyone booting it today, the multiplat unlock, the helicopter debut, and the sub-arctic map are the headline additions.
