Lightyear Frontier 1.0 Launches November 4

Xbox

Open-world mech farming adventure Lightyear Frontier will leave Early Access and launch version 1.0 on Tuesday, November 4, 2026 for Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, publisher Coffee Stain Publishing and developer FRAME BREAK announced via the Big Break Showcase, per Gematsu.

The game first entered Early Access on March 19, 2024. Steam overview copy still frames the fantasy: settle an interstellar homestead, customize a farming mech, grow alien crops, build a retro-futuristic farm, befriend neighbors, tend alien livestock, and co-op with up to three friends. Mech parts and mod chips remain the progression spine for planting, watering, and harvesting at scale.

Why the date matters: after more than two years of Early Access, Coffee Stain is finally putting a hard Eastern-calendar street on the 1.0 build for Xbox and PC players who have been waiting for a “finished” homestead loop. US Game Pass watchers should check Xbox storefront messaging closer to launch for any day-one inclusion — today’s Gematsu write-up locks platforms and the November 4 date, not subscription SKUs.

The announce sat beside other Coffee Stain Big Break beats on September 29. For another dated Capcom/TiMi mobile launch already on RCG’s calendar desk, see Monster Hunter Outlanders Global Launch Oct. 29.

Early Access veterans should expect the usual 1.0 checklist closer to launch: a finalized story or progression spine, performance targets on Xbox Series hardware, and a clearer stance on whether prior EA purchasers receive the full build automatically (they typically do on Steam and Microsoft Store, but always verify the storefront FAQ). New players can treat November 4 as the clean entry point if they preferred to wait out Early Access pricing and patch volatility.

US Xbox fans tracking cozy-adjacent Game Pass slots should watch Xbox Wire and the Microsoft Store listing in the final weeks of October for any day-one inclusion language. Coffee Stain’s Gematsu-reported announce locks the November 4 street and the Xbox Series / PC platforms; it does not, by itself, confirm subscription day-one availability, timed console exclusivity, or a PlayStation port. RCG will update if a first-party Xbox post adds those details.

What we are not saying: we are not inventing PlayStation or Switch versions, a day-one Game Pass lock, or post-1.0 DLC dates. Report November 4, 2026 for Xbox Series and PC as announced.
