Ghost Ship Publishing and developer Funday Games will bring single-player survivor-like auto-shooter Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor to PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, according to Gematsu. The companies also announced the Knockout Expansion — street date still TBD.
Platform history: Survivor entered PC Early Access on February 14, 2024, then launched 1.0 across Xbox Series and PC (Steam / Microsoft Store) on September 17, 2025, with iOS and Android following November 12, 2025. October’s console wave is the missing living-room and handheld SKU for players who want Hoxxes IV runs on the couch or on the go.
Knockout Expansion is pitched with a new Brawler class, the Sandblasted Corridors biome, and a high-risk mission type with new objectives and a boss. Ghost Ship did not date that pack in the September 29 announce — keep it as announced content, not a calendar lock.
For US audiences, October 7 is a clean midweek multiplat add for one of Ghost Ship’s biggest spin-offs after the co-op Deep Rock Galactic parent. It also lands days after Bandai Namco’s Ace Combat 8 full launch window — another console shooter beat already covered on RCG at Ace Combat 8 Deluxe Early Access Is Live Now.
Survivor’s loop — pick a dwarf, dive into procedurally hostile caves, vacuum upgrades between swarms — already proved sticky on Xbox and PC. Bringing that fantasy to PlayStation 5 living rooms and both Switch SKUs widens the audience that never installed the Microsoft Store build. Handheld players in particular get a natural fit: short runs, readable bullet patterns, and the Deep Rock humor without needing a co-op squad online.
Keep the Knockout Expansion on a separate mental shelf from the October 7 console launch. Ghost Ship pitched Brawler, Sandblasted Corridors, and a boss-led high-risk mission as the expansion’s headline pillars, but without a calendar day those features are marketing, not street. RCG’s filing dates the console SKUs only and carries the expansion as announced-without-date so retailers and RW calendars do not invent a Knockout FOC.
What we are not saying: we are not inventing a Knockout Expansion day, pricing, or claiming the October 7 console build includes Knockout day-and-date. Report console street October 7; expansion TBD.
