Pearl Abyss has delayed the Crimson Desert expansion Charting the Unknown by two weeks, moving it from its previously planned October 15 date to October 29 (GMT / PT), according to a studio message carried by Gematsu (Sal Romano, September 30, 2026).
In the note addressed to “Greymanes,” the Crimson Desert team said it needs more development time to deliver a more polished and stable experience for the downloadable content, also framed in the message as Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown. The studio apologized for the longer wait and said it will use the extra two weeks to refine the content before players return to the world of Pywel on October 29.
The slip replaces the October 15 PlayStation Store window that earlier State of Play coverage had flagged for the expansion — see State of Play Locks FF7 Revelation for April 8 for that prior date call. Pearl Abyss’s new street date is the one calendar line that matters now.
The base game is already out on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Gematsu’s report does not list a new price, feature breakdown, or platform-exclusive window for the DLC — only the two-week polish delay and the October 29 (GMT / PT) target.
For US players planning a return trip to Pywel, October 29 is the live calendar date — drop any Oct. 15 wishlist reminder. Store-page unlock minutes can still vary by region and platform even when a studio posts a shared GMT / PT day.
What we are not saying: we are not inventing DLC pricing, a full content list, or a different platform day-and-date than the base game’s current multiplat lineup. The news is the two-week delay to October 29 for polish and stability.
