Metal Slug Advance and Kururin Paradise Join GBA Classics

Nintendo

Three more Game Boy Advance games have landed on Nintendo Switch Online. Monster Rancher Advance, Metal Slug Advance and Kururin Paradise are now available in the Game Boy Advance Nintendo Classics app, as reported by Gematsu and Nintendo Life.

As with the rest of the GBA library, you will need the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack tier to play them, on either Switch or Switch 2. Japan received the same three games this week.

The lineup

Monster Rancher Advance is Tecmo’s 2001 handheld take on its monster-raising series, where you breed, train and battle creatures. It is a deep cut for a service that has leaned heavily on Nintendo’s own games.

Metal Slug Advance is SNK’s 2004 run-and-gun, a portable entry in the arcade series known for its detailed sprite work, chaotic firefights and tanks you can hijack. The GBA version added a card-collecting layer to the formula.

Kururin Paradise is the standout for collectors. Eighting’s 2002 puzzle game, the sequel to Kuru Kuru Kururin, never left Japan on the GBA, so this is the first official way for many players outside Japan to try it. You guide a constantly spinning stick through tight mazes without touching the walls, and the sequel adds new modes and minigames.

A rare third-party batch

The GBA side of Nintendo Classics has been updated sparingly in 2026. Mario vs. Donkey Kong arrived in March, and Dr. Mario & Puzzle League followed in July. This drop is notable for leaning entirely on third-party publishers, after a library that has been mostly first-party so far.

Retro fans have plenty to look forward to beyond Switch Online, too. RCG recently covered Psikyo Memories, dated for February 18, 2027, for anyone who wants more classic arcade action on modern hardware.

All three games are available now for Expansion Pack members.
