Dynamite Entertainment has released its full January 2027 solicitations, and the headliner is the second issue of its new X-Files series. The lineup, published by Bleeding Cool, also includes the publisher’s first-ever 80-Page Giants and the end of its Archie vs. The Terminator crossover.
The X-Files #2, by returning X-Files writer Joe Harris and artist R.D. Brown, follows newly reinstated agents Mulder and Scully as reports of young people with telekinetic powers spread across social media. A shadowy group of neo-conspirators is chasing the same leads, and the powers turn out to be extraterrestrial in origin. Dynamite promises a full-page splash revealing a mysterious, messianic figure whose identity is redacted in the solicit. Covers come from Clayton Crain, Ivan Tao, Charlie Adlard and more. It costs $4.99 and arrives Jan. 13.
Dynamite jokes that it is bringing back the 80-Page Giant even though it has never done one. Red Sonja 80 Page Giant #1 collects stories from Red Sonja Annual #2, Red Sonja #30, Red Sonja: Black, White and Red #1 and Red Sonja #60. Vampirella 80 Page Giant #1 reprints “Death’s Dark Angel” from the Warren magazine’s Vampirella #12 plus later stories. Both feature new Roberto Castro covers with retro trade dress, cost $9.99 and land Jan. 13.
Archie vs. The Terminator #4 wraps up the crossover on Jan. 20, with Archie the last one standing against the killer cyborg hunting a teenage John Connor at Riverdale High. Rory McConville writes, with art by Steven Butler and Lily Butler and covers led by Francesco Francavilla.
Other January highlights include Sabrina the Teenage Witch/Vampirella #2 by Tini Howard (Jan. 6), Ben 10 #8 by Joe Casey and Robert Carey with the first official appearance of Wildvine (Jan. 6), Christopher Priest’s Vampirella #10 as the countdown to issue #700 continues (Jan. 20), Greg Pak’s ThunderCats #4 (Jan. 27), and MonsterVision #2 starring Joe Bob Briggs and Darcy (Jan. 27).
January also brings two launches we have already covered: George Kambadais’ ThunderCats ’85 #1, out Jan. 6, and the Terminator Valentine’s Day Special 2027 by Dan Watters and Pasquale Qualano on Jan. 27. As always, solicited dates and prices can change before release.
