PlayStationReport: GTA 6 Needs About 210GB on PS5, Preload Reportedly Starts November 12

Grand Theft Auto VI will need about 210GB of storage on PlayStation 5, according to a report from the tracking account PlayStation Game Size, which Insider Gaming says it can corroborate. Rockstar Games has not confirmed the figure.

PlayStation Game Size posted the details on October 27. Per the account, the 210GB figure applies to the Standard Edition, priced at $79.99. The post also lists a preload start of November 12, ahead of the game’s November 19 release, with the game unlocking at midnight.

That is a big download, but it is not the largest ever seen on console. As Kotaku points out, some Call of Duty releases and ARK with its DLC have taken up more space.

The number may also not be final. Kotaku notes that the reported size does not include a day one patch or GTA Online, and that the total could change before launch. Players planning to preload should leave some extra room on their drives.

Sizes for the Xbox version and for other editions of the game have not been reported. Until Rockstar Games shares official storage requirements, the 210GB figure should be treated as a report.
