PC | MacReport: The Elder Scrolls 6 Is Reportedly Titled Sentinel and Set in Hammerfell

The Elder Scrolls VI is reportedly titled The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel and set in Hammerfell, according to a report by Tom Warren at The Verge. Bethesda Softworks has not confirmed the name or the setting, and the details remain unconfirmed.

Warren reports, citing sources familiar with Bethesda Softworks’ plans, that Microsoft’s Xbox could officially reveal the Sentinel name as soon as next month, around the 15th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on November 11. The reveal is reportedly expected to cover the title only, without gameplay or a release date.

According to The Verge, the setting itself is not expected to be part of the title reveal, so any official confirmation of Hammerfell could come later.

The report also says Sentinel will be the first game in the series about the history of the Elder Scrolls artifacts that give the franchise its name.

Until Bethesda Softworks or Xbox makes an announcement, the Sentinel title and the Hammerfell setting should be treated as reportedly planned rather than official.
