In Marvel’s synopsis, X-Force learns Cable’s mind was compromised and a new leader arises: Tabitha Smith — Boom-Boom — takes over the team while they are framed for a horrific crime. The roster alongside Boom-Boom includes Archangel, Hellverine, Domino, and Ms. Marvel as they run and Domino searches for Cable. Seeley’s own quote, reported in trade coverage, frames the book as a natural extension of Inglorious in which the militant mutant strikeforce is “wanted for murder” and hanging on by a thread, with Boom-Boom as Cable’s best pupil in blowing things up.
