Pull lists just got a little longer. DC has slipped several October and November books, including key Absolute Universe titles, according to Bleeding Cool.
Absolute Catwoman #4 moves from October 14 to November 4. Absolute Batman: Beyond Ark-M #1 shifts from November 11 to November 25.
Not every Absolute book is moving. Absolute Batman #25 is still listed for October 28, which Bleeding Cool flags as notable because that issue looked like the likeliest candidate to slip.
Other DC delays this week
- 100 Bullets: The US of ANGER #5 — November 4 to November 11
- Fury of Firestorm #7, Emperor Aquaman #22, Action Comics #1103 and a New Titans #38 second printing — October 14 to October 21
Collected editions are moving too. The Kingdom Come 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition, Batman: Gotham Adventures Omnibus Vol. 1, Superman by Phillip Kennedy Johnson Omnibus Vol. 2 and the Swamp Thing by Alan Moore Omnibus all have later dates than previously solicited.
Absolute Batman has been one of DC’s loudest hits this year. RCG noted that run when Absolute Batman led the August comic charts. A two-to-three week slip on sister books is the kind of shipping news retailers and readers actually need before Wednesday.
If Absolute Catwoman #4 was on your October 14 stack, pencil it in for November 4 instead.
Shipping slips are boring until they hit the book everyone is waiting for. Absolute Catwoman’s four-week move and Beyond Ark-M’s two-week move are the headlines, but the shorter one-week bumps on Action Comics, Emperor Aquaman and Fury of Firestorm will still scramble October 14 pull lists. Retailers hate surprise voids on Absolute books because those titles have been driving traffic all year. The fact that Absolute Batman #25 holds October 28 is the one piece of good news in an otherwise delayed Absolute week.
