Alpha Nomos Launches Today on Steam, PS5 and Xbox

PC | Mac

The beat drops today. RibCage Games’ debut commercial release Alpha Nomos launches October 12 on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, matching the street date locked in the studio’s Games Press release and the Steam store page.

Alpha Nomos is a rhythm-action roguelite starring Cello, who fights corrupted puppets by locking every attack, dodge and ability to the soundtrack. Drift off tempo and rooms punish you. Stick to the beat and hits land harder.

Weapons are built around live studio recordings rather than sample libraries, and audio powerups such as Reverb, Flanger and Delay reshape both the moveset and the mix. The score comes from Totem Warriors, and a timing offset is meant to keep the game approachable across skill levels.

Puppetcore, fully unlocked

Roguelite runs push through ruined cities and a corrupted circus RibCage calls puppetcore. Fall, keep meta progress, and push farther on the next attempt. CTO Emil Lager said locking the date was “terrifying and also the best feeling in the world” after asking players to trust that rhythm could carry a whole game.

RCG previously covered the dating news when Alpha Nomos locked October 12 for Steam, PS5 and Xbox Series. Today’s the street date that announcement was pointing at.

If you have been waiting to hear the whole mix, Cello’s first shift starts now.

RibCage Games left mobile development to build the kind of PC and console game the team grew up on, and Alpha Nomos is that bet. The Steam page still listed October 12 as the planned unlock during an early-morning storefront check, which is normal on launch day before storefronts flip. A free demo has been up for months for anyone who wanted to test the timing window first. Launch day is when the full puppetcore campaign, the complete audio powerup set and the live Totem Warriors score are supposed to be in players’ hands on three platforms at once.
