Europe owns competitive Fortnite for another year. SwizzY and Pixie won the Fortnite Global Championship 2026 on Sunday in Antwerp, Belgium, and the title makes SwizzY the first player to win back-to-back FNCS Global Championships.
Epic Games made it official on the Fortnite account on X at about 4:15 PM CT Sunday: “CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FORTNITE GLOBAL CHAMPIONS: @SwizzY281 AND @pixiefnbr! (EU ON TOP)”
525 points and a 32-point cushion
Fifty duos from seven regions played 12 Battle Royale Duos matches over two days at Antwerp’s Lotto Arena, ConsolePCGaming reports. According to Insider Gaming, SwizzY and Pixie finished with 525 points, 39 eliminations and an average placement of 13.42. That left them 32 points clear of the runners-up, Shxrk and t3eny.
They got there with just one Victory Royale. Insider Gaming and ConsolePCGaming both report that the duo’s only match win came in Game 10, which left them two games to protect the lead. Higgs and Curve won two matches, per both outlets, but finished 10th overall. It’s a reminder that FNCS scoring rewards steady placements and eliminations as much as wins.
A comeback from fourth
SwizzY and Pixie weren’t the front-runners going into Sunday. ConsolePCGaming’s Day 1 standings had vic0 and Malibuca on top with 304 points without a single win, followed by Darm and Demus with 282 and Koyota and Yuma with 270. SwizzY and Pixie were fourth with 230, 74 points off the pace.
Hotspawn’s Day 2 recap describes vic0 and Malibuca stretching their lead with a win in the day’s opening match before things came apart late. In Game 10, Hotspawn writes, the pair misread the storm timing and went down despite a stockpile of med kits. In the final game, Shxrk and t3eny pushed them, and vic0 and Malibuca were knocked out early in a fight that drew in several other teams. Beebom reports that SwizzY and Pixie kept racking up eliminations after the leaders fell.
$400,000 and the Axe of Champions
Insider Gaming reports that the champions take home $400,000 of the event’s $2 million prize pool, along with the FNCS trophy and the Axe of Champions. Beebom and ConsolePCGaming report the same $400,000 payout, and Beebom describes the Axe of Champions as an in-game pickaxe awarded to the champions.
SwizzY makes history
SwizzY won last year’s Global Championship in France alongside Merstach and Queasy, when the event was played in trios. Insider Gaming says that makes him the first player in Fortnite esports history to win back-to-back FNCS Global Championships. Beebom reports that his new partner, Pixie, plays for the European organization HavoK.
Asked by the presenters about the milestone, SwizzY kept it simple, according to Beebom: “Bro, this feels amazing. I mean- back-to-back. We are here, and it’s ours!”
