HoYoverse has brought Genshin Impact Version 7.1 — titled “A Rekviem for the Underworld” — online after update maintenance that began September 23, 2026 at 06:00 (UTC+8), with an estimated five-hour window (Traveler.gg update details, sourced from HoYoverse). The patch is live across PC, iOS, Android, PlayStation, and Xbox Series X|S.
New 5-stars — Vesna & Vodyanitsa
Two new five-star characters headline the drop:
- “Snowy Banquet’s Sharp Blade” Vesna (Anemo, sword) — Commander of the Druzhna and framed as the Tsaritsa’s keen blade; an Anemo DPS who enables Stellar Swirl reactions and can deal Stellar Swirl damage herself under certain conditions.
- “Lingering Siren-Song” Vodyanitsa (Hydro, catalyst) — Prima Donna of the Korolevskiy Troupe; a Hydro healer/support built for both Freeze and Stellar Swirl teams.
Event-exclusive five-star weapons Beyond the Chrysalis (sword) and Hymn of the Maelstrom (catalyst) join the wish lineup, alongside several new four-star event weapons.
Archon Quest Chapter VII Acts III–IV
The main story advances with two permanent Archon Quest acts after the update:
- Chapter VII: Act III — “White Night, Like a Dream Upon Waking” (Adventure Rank 18+; requires Act II “Wraith’s Nocturne”)
- Chapter VII: Act IV — “A Rekviem for the Underworld” (Adventure Rank 18+; requires Act III)
World quests “Swords and Secrets” and “Upstream Variations” also unlock with the version, and a new boss — Guardian Blade of Drifting Snow — appears in the Fellfrost Peak area.
Maintenance compensation
HoYoverse lists Primogems ×300 as maintenance compensation (60 per hour of downtime) and another Primogems ×300 as issue-fix compensation for Travelers at Adventure Rank 5 or above by the maintenance start. Maintenance compensation must be claimed before Version 7.1 ends; issue-fix mail must be claimed before 2026/09/26 06:00 (UTC+8).
