Titan Comics and Hard Case Crime have announced Killproof: A Gun Honey Series, a new spin-off expanding the bestselling Gun Honey crime-thriller universe, according to Bleeding Cool (Rich Johnston, September 30, 2026). The series is written by Charles Ardai — founder of the Hard Case Crime imprint — with art by Ace Continuado, inks by Juan Castro, colours by Asifur Rahman, and lettering by David Leach. A surprise 16-page advance sampler debuts at New York Comic Con next week; the full Killproof #1 is due in comic shops in April 2027.
Killproof stars Evie Parker, a seasoned mercenary genetically altered so she cannot feel pain, heat, cold, hunger, or fatigue — and who heals instantly from injury. Evie first appeared in Heat Seeker: Combustion as antagonist to Dahlia Racers before the two became lovers and readers pushed for a solo book. Ardai told Bleeding Cool that beyond the “unstoppable killing machine” résumé, Evie is privately a comics, Star Trek, Monty Python, and science-fiction megafan — “one of us – just a whole lot deadlier.” Official framing for #1 has Evie abducted by the world’s richest man, who wants her imperviousness and healing powers for himself.
NYCC readers get the early look first. Ardai, Continuado, and Castro sign the special 16-page advance sampler on Friday, October 8, 2026, at noon at the ComicXposure booth #3935. Bleeding Cool notes the issue itself was not in the usual solicit wave ahead of that con debut.
Gun Honey remains Titan’s flagship crime thriller about weapons supplier Joanna Tan. Prior titles in the shared universe include Gun Honey, Gun Honey: Blood for Blood, Gun Honey: Collision Course, Gun Honey: Doubles Down, Heat Seeker: A Gun Honey Series, Heat Seeker: Combustion, and Heat Seeker: Exposed — making Killproof the next expansion of that interconnected lineup.

What we are not saying: we are not inventing a day-and-date inside April 2027, a cover price, a full #1 page count beyond the 16-page NYCC sampler, or crossover guest appearances not named in today’s announcement. Sampler signs Friday, Oct. 8 at noon at ComicXposure #3935; full Killproof #1 targets April 2027.
