Marvel Comics Presents Omnibus Vol. 1 Due Apr. 2027

Comics

Marvel will collect Marvel Comics Presents “in its entirety for the first time” as a series of omnibus editions, according to ICv2 (September 28, 2026). Volume 1 is dated and detailed.

Marvel Comics Presents Omnibus Vol. 1 collects the first 25 issues of the late-1980s anthology in a 936-page hardcover. It goes on sale Tuesday, April 20, 2027, at an MSRP of $125, with a main cover by Walter Simonson and a direct-market exclusive cover by Marshall Rogers.

ICv2’s creator roll call for the first volume includes writers Chris Claremont, Steve Gerber, Doug Moench, Ann Nocenti, Don McGregor, Bob Harras, Howard Mackie, Al Milgrom, John Byrne, and Fabian Nicieza, plus artists such as John Buscema, Tom Sutton, Gene Colan, Steve Ditko, Ron Lim, and Dave Cockrum. The biweekly anthology launched in 1988 ahead of Marvel’s 50th anniversary, was canceled in 1995, then revived for shorter runs in 2007–2008 and 2019.

Series history note: Marvel Comics Presents was the original home of Barry Windsor-Smith’s “Weapon X.” ICv2 separately flags a Dark Horse archival black-and-white Weapon X edition as related backlist news — that is not this omnibus.

For another major Marvel Direct Market beat already on RCG, see our report on Amazing Spider-Man #1000’s Hawley preview ahead of the Sep. 30 street.

For Direct Market buyers, a $125 / 936-page first volume is a classic Marvel Omnibus price-and-size package, with the Marshall Rogers DM exclusive covering the retailer-incentive lane. Because Marvel is promising an eventual complete program rather than a one-off, shops can plan shelf space for later volumes when those solicits land — but those dates are not in today’s ICv2 report.

Anthology collectors care because Marvel Comics Presents mixed serialized Weapon X-era material with short hero spots from a deep 1980s/early-1990s creator bench. Vol. 1’s “issues 1–25” lock is the only contents claim we are making; do not assume every famous serial from the title’s full run is inside this hardcover until Marvel publishes a detailed story checklist.

What we are not saying: later omnibus volumes are promised as a program but are not dated in this ICv2 piece. We are not inventing Vol. 2 contents, a complete Weapon X reprint claim inside Vol. 1 beyond “issues 1–25,” or prices beyond the $125 MSRP listed.
