Marvel Television has a new live-action series on the way. At the Marvel Television and Marvel Animation panel at New York Comic Con on Thursday, Oct. 8, Brad Winderbaum, Marvel’s head of television, animation, comics and franchise, announced Zodiac, a spy thriller that premieres on Disney+ in 2028.
Winderbaum revealed the show’s title and logo but kept the story under wraps. “It’s a spy thriller,” he told the crowd. “And for anyone who knows the comics, if you look closely at this title design, you’ll see a few clues about where we’re going.” According to Marvel.com, Zodiac begins shooting in London in spring 2027, and Winderbaum said casting starts “in a couple weeks.” No cast, characters or creative team have been named.
Three more Marvel Zombies events
The animated Marvel Zombies is coming back as three new two-part event series, one a year. Marvel Zombies: The Winter Soldier arrives for Halloween 2027, Marvel Zombies: The Fist of Khonshu follows in 2028, and Marvel Zombies: The Last Guardian wraps up the story in 2029.
“I won’t tell you who the Last Guardian is, but it’s very, very exciting,” Winderbaum said. He added that the team is “about halfway through animatics, and it is a blood-splattering good time, but it’s also quite beautiful,” and joked, “I still can’t believe Disney+ lets us get away with it.”
Daredevil: Born Again ends with Season 3
Marvel confirmed that Daredevil: Born Again Season 3, due in 2027, will be the show’s last. Three of the original Defenders, Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter and Finn Jones, came out to show first footage from the season. Marvel.com says Mike Colter missed the panel because of a last-minute scheduling conflict.
More from the panel
- X-Men ’97 Season 3 premieres in 2027. The footage shown in the room teased the return of the Brotherhood of Mutants and a wedding for Gambit and Rogue, and Marvel says a fourth season is planned.

Marvel.com says the new season brings bigger threats and a familiar black symbiote suit, and creator Jeff Trammell told fans Peter “might need a little help.” Marvel’s four-issue comic bridging Seasons 1 and 2 starts Dec. 9.
- VisionQuest closed out the panel. Paul Bettany, James Spader, Ruaridh Mollica, Emily Hampshire and showrunner Terry Matalas screened the first episode for the room ahead of the show’s Oct. 14 premiere on Disney+.
