Path of Exile 2 Steam Deck Verified — Ahead of Dec 11 Free-to-Play 1.0; 1M Pre-Registrations

Path of Exile 2 is now Steam Deck Verified. Grinding Gear Games confirmed Valve’s seal of approval on September 24, 2026, just ahead of the game’s free-to-play 1.0 launch on Friday, December 11, 2026, according to PCGamesN and RPG Site.

The 1.0 window is also when GGG plans to finish the main campaign and introduce the Duelist class with swords, transitioning the title from paid Early Access to free-to-play with optional cosmetics and stash-tab microtransactions.

Pre-registrations hit 1 million

GGG says pre-registrations have reached 1 million, unlocking two of five milestone rewards for anyone who signs up by launch day — including a special portal effect and a Scourgeborn boar pet. Signup only needs an email; an existing PoE2 account is not required.

Players who do not want to wait can still buy an Early Access key starting at $29.99 (with optional currency for stash tabs and cosmetics that GGG says do not affect gameplay power).

Honest Deck caveat

Verified is Valve’s compatibility badge — not a promise of locked 30- or 60-FPS endgame density on Deck hardware. Controller support is part of the published pitch; denser Atlas mapping may still prefer a docked PC session. This package is the Deck Verified + Dec 11 reminder wire, not a new console-port announce.
