Report: Bloober Team's Silent Hill Remake Targeting 2027, First Two Actors Named

Bloober Team‘s remake of the original 1999 Silent Hill is reportedly targeting a 2027 release, and the first two actors attached to the project have been named, according to a report from MP1st. Konami has not confirmed either the release window or the cast, so both details remain unconfirmed for now.

The remake itself is real. Bloober Team confirmed development on a new take on Team Silent’s original game last year, following the success of its Silent Hill 2 remake. What has stayed under wraps is when it will arrive and who is in it.

According to MP1st, the game is in production under the casting codename Project Noise and is aimed at a 2027 launch. The outlet itself cautions that production schedules can change, so the window should be read as a target rather than a date.

The report names Gabrielle Fritz and Jade Matthew as the first cast members attached to the project. MP1st did not identify which characters either actor will play. Fritz is a London-based actress whose game credits include Battlefield 2042 and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, per MP1st. Matthew is also UK-based; MP1st points to her work on the MMORPG Dragon Nest, while VGC notes television credits including Doctors, EastEnders and Torchwood.

No actor has been reported for Harry Mason, the original game’s protagonist, so the lead role remains a mystery.

A 2027 window would fit Konami’s stated plans for the series. MP1st cites series producer Motoi Okamoto telling Famitsu that the publisher aims to release roughly one Silent Hill game per year, following Silent Hill f and the recent Silent Hill: Townfall.

Until Konami or Bloober Team speaks to it directly, the 2027 target and the named cast stay in report territory. Platforms for the remake have not been announced.
