Shenmue III Enhanced is no longer coming in 2026. Publisher ININ Games told fans in a newsletter that the upgraded version of Ys Net’s sequel is now planned for early 2027, and it did not give an exact date.
“We’re well aware that you’re eagerly awaiting the chance to see Ryo shine like never before, for the first time on several modern consoles,” ININ Games wrote. “Development is taking time to get everything right, and we’re making great progress while finalizing the last details. We’ll have more details to share with you soon and are looking forward to this release in early 2027!”
The Enhanced edition is planned for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC. According to Push Square, it adds an optional stamina system and a revamped camera compared with the original PS4 release.
For now, early 2027 is the only window ININ Games has shared. The publisher says more details are coming soon, so a firmer date could arrive in a later update.
